The Five Strikers Tottenham Must Target This Window

Tottenham have had an eventful transfer window so far, announcing five signings including: Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul Van Hecke, Martin Dubravka and Mateus Fernandes. With the signing of midfielder Sandro Tonali expected to be formally announced in the coming hours, manager Roberto De Zerbi will now shift his focus in bolstering his attack. It follows a disappointing season in which Tottenham scored just 48 goals, where many of them came from set-pieces.

So, who are the five strikers Tottenham must target this window?

5: Eli Junior Kroupi

Kroupi signed for Premier League side AFC Bournemouth from French club FC Lorient in the summer of 2025 for £10 million. Despite his relatively cheap transfer fee, he has proved to be an absolute bargain as he has netted 13 goals in 33 league appearances, finishing the season as Bournemouth’s top scorer. In addition to this, he has established himself as one of the most clinical finishers in the Premier League, converting nearly 39% of his shots.

His impressive goal tally in his debut season meant that he broke the record for most goals by a teenager in a debut Premier League season, catching the interest of big European clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. Due to his significant potential, he certainly won’t be cheap, as reports suggest that Bournemouth expect a minimum fee of £80 million to consider letting him go.

4: Dusan Vlahovic

Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 with massive expectations, brought in as the long-term heir to Cristiano Ronaldo. Although his form dipped towards the latter stages of his time at the club, he was mostly productive. Across his 4 and a half year stint, he scored 48 goals and provided 12 assists in 122 Serie A appearances. Although he was mostly sidelined in his final season at the club, he still managed to score a brace in his final game against local rivals Torino, ending his season tally with 7 goals in the league.

Despite his disappointing final season, he still has a lot to prove on the big stage as he is only 26 years old, and has already shown the danger he possesses in front of goal. Officially a free agent, the 6’3” centre forward may interest top clubs due to his physical presence and aerial threat.

3: Folarin Balogun

Balogun has been one of the main focal points of the World Cup, due to his prolific goalscoring for the USA national team. In 3 appearances, he has scored 3 goals, with two of them coming against Paraguay and one against Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to this, his stats for Monaco have also been impressive, as the ex-Arsenal forward finished the 25/26 season as Monaco’s top scorer with 19 goals and 4 assists across all competitions, earning him the club’s Player of the Season.

His elite form, particularly starting during the spring of 2026 where he went on a historical 8 consecutive Ligue 1 matches scoring streak, has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham, who are actively tracking the 24 year old. Monaco is rumoured to expect a fee of around £43 million to let go of their star forward, who perhaps may be interested in joining Tottenham to prove a point to his former club Arsenal, where he struggled to find a place in the squad.

2: Victor Osimhen

Although he may seem a bit far-fetched, Tottenham have shown a strong intent in splashing tons of cash on big name players and adjusting their wage structure. The 27 year old elite forward is one of the most prominent strikers in football, recording 206 goals in 340 total senior appearances. The Nigerian has certainly impressed for Galatasaray, where his performances have earned him the Turkish Footballer of the Year award in both 2025 and 2026.

However, following Galatasaray’s buy out of his contract from Napoli for a total fee of €75 million (£64.8 million), Galatasaray Club President Dursun Ozbek has slapped a massive €150 million (£126 million) price tag on his star striker, which would shatter the Premier League transfer record fee if Tottenham were to sign him.

1: Serhou Guirassy

The 30 year old has been one of the most clinical strikers in Europe over the past 3 years, scoring 90 goals at club level in this time period. Standing at 6’2”, he excels with his back to goal. His ability to hold up long balls, drawing centre backs out of position and laying it off to oncoming wingers may be useful to Roberto De Zerbi’s tactical style of play. Furthermore, not only is his link up play superb, but also his maintenance of a high shot on target percentage, as he logged 84 shots in the league last season, providing both a goal scoring threat and link-up ability, (combining what Richarlison and Solanke only offer in halves).

Currently, his contract contains a €35 million (£30 million) release clause, making him an attractive target for Tottenham, as he is an instant-impact number 9 and wouldn’t blow their budget, leaving room for improvements on the wings.
